Scott Fromherz, MD is a fellowship trained Sleep Medicine Physician whose self-proclaimed mission is to solve the sleep problems of the world "one patient at a time." He is the recipient of the Desmond S. O'Doherty award in the Department of Neurology at Georgetown University School of Medicine where he attended medical school. He completed his Neurology and Sleep Medicine training at Stanford University Medical Center.
Dr. Fromherz is the medical director of Westside Sleep Center in Tigard, Oregon. He has coauthored chapters on Narcolepsy in multiple Sleep Medicine and Neurology texts. He serves as a sleep medicine consultant to a major Wall Street firm, has acted in the capacity of expert witness, and is a speaker for multiple national pharmaceutical companies. In 2005 he was interviewed for Esquire magazine as an expert in sleep medicine from Stanford.
Dr. Fromherz and his wife Crisi currently reside in Portland, Oregon. They and their maltese, Sprinkle, run the SleepSpecialist.com website in their free time. Dr. Fromherz is also authoring a book on improving sleep, that should be available in late 2007 or 2008.
